The reasons of tap water pollution

Bell pepper

Bell pepper, also known as sweet pepper or a pepper (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) and capsicum (in India, Australia and New Zealand), is a cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, orange, chocolate brown, lilac, ivory, deep purple and green. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent pepper varieties as "sweet peppers". Peppers are native to Mexico, Central America and northern South America. Pepper seeds were later carried to Spain in 1493 and from there spread to other European, African and Asian countries. Today, China is the world's largest pepper producer, followed by Mexico and Indonesia.

Ideal growing conditions for sweet peppers seeds include warm soil, ideally 21 to 29 °C (70 to 84 °F), that is kept moist but not waterlogged.Bell peppers are sensitive to an abundance of moisture and excessive temperatures.

Nomenclature

The misleading name "pepper" was given by Christopher Columbus upon bringing the plant back to Europe. At that time peppercorns, the fruit of Piper nigrum, an unrelated plant originating from India, was a highly prized condiment; the name "pepper" was at that time applied in Europe to all known spices with a hot and pungent taste and so naturally extended to the newly discovered Capsicum genus. The most commonly used alternative name of the plant family, "chile", is of mexican origin, from the Nahuatl word chilli or xilli. Bell peppers are botanically fruits, but are generally considered in culinary contexts to be vegetables.

While the bell pepper is a member of the Capsicum genus, it is the only Capsicum that does not produce capsaicin,a lipophilic chemical that can cause a strong burning sensation when it comes in contact with mucous membranes. (An exception to this is the hybrid variety Mexibelle, which does contain a moderate level of capsaicin, and is therefore, somewhat hot). The lack of capsaicin in bell peppers is due to a recessive form of a gene that eliminates capsaicin and, consequently, the "hot" taste usually associated with the rest of the Capsicum genus.

The terms "bell pepper", "pepper" or in Australia and New Zealand "capsicum", are often used for any of the large bell shaped fruits, regardless of their color. In British English, the fruit is simply referred to as a "pepper", or additionally by color (as in the term "green pepper", for example), whereas in many Commonwealth of Nations countries, such as India, Canada, and Malaysia, they are called "bell peppers".^[Across Europe, the term "paprika", which has its roots in the word for pepper, is used – sometimes referred to by their color (e.g., "groene paprika", "gele paprika", in Dutch, which are green and yellow, respectively). Paprika also refers to the powdered spice made from the fruits in the Capsicum genus. In Switzerland it is mostly called "peperoni", which is the Italian name of the fruit. In France, it is called "poivron", with the same root as "poivre" (meaning "pepper"), or "piment". In Japan it's called Piman, derived from the French "piment". In Korea, the word 피망 ("pimang" from the Japanese "Piman") refers to green bell peppers, whereas 파프리카 ("papurika" from paprika) refers to bell peppers of other colors.

Vegetable and fruit slicer

The object of the present invention is to provide a vegetable and fruit slicer and a method for slicing that with ease cuts difficult and/or hard vegetables as tomatoes, raw potatoes and raw carrots in nice slices.

The object is met by a vegetable and fruit slicer according to claim and a method for slicing vegetables and fruit according to claim. One advantage with the slicer and method according to the invention is that the usage of at least two sets of knives will assure that not all knives start cutting at the same time and stability in the slicing is achieved, resulting in even slices and an easy pushing movement.

This has an excellent effect on cutting tomatoes as the skin of tomatoes is very difficult to cut through and this feature will avoid compressing the tomato. This will also minimize the lateral pressure on the knives and thus less pressure need to be applied in the cutting direction. In this way it will be easier to cut through hard vegetables and fruits like raw carrots, potatoes and apples.

Another advantage with the present invention is that said at least two sets keep a constant lateral distance between the knives for each level of knives, which may result in that the sets incline in the same direction and with the same inclination, if the lateral distances between each level in each sets of knives is the same, i.e. if all the slices are meant to be of the same thickness, which of course is preferred.

Having these constant distances between the knives of each level will stabilize the slicing so that the slices will be more even in thickness and minimize the risk that the knives will cut obliquely or tend to curve thus cutting thicker and thicker slices or vice versa. Any arising obliqueness or curving will be compensated for by the other knife/knives in the same level of knives.

The knives in the sets of knives may for example be arranged in parallel so that the knives look like a stair or with angular displacement so the knives looks like a fan. The compensation of any arising obliqueness or curving may not be achieved if the stairs or fans incline in opposite directions, for example if the knives are arranged in V or wave shape.

Preferably the anvil part comprises an anvil with a corresponding recess for each knife in the knife part. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the knife part and the anvil part are swingably connected to each other via at least one hinge positioned transversally of the extension of the knives. This will give an advantageous angular motion enhancing the cutting. Preferably guiding means for guiding the knives into the recesses at use is/are provided at one of or at both the knife part and the anvil part.

In a preferred embodiment of the knives they have a toothed cutting edge. Preferably the cutting edges have non-linear form showing tops and valleys. In this way the teeth engage and start cutting at different moments and thus spreading the cutting in a corresponding way to have the knives in stairs. To achieve the best result each point of the tops has only one tooth.

A removable cleanser can be provided in the anvil having one rung positioned in each recess. Such a cleanser is a great advantage in practice for facilitating the cleansing of the anvil.

In a further embodiment of the present invention the knives are prestressed by pressure applied at the ends towards each other so that they are slightly bent in the direction of extension. Preferably, the knives are angled 5-15 degrees from their straight extension. This will even further minimize the obliqueness or curving of the knives during the slicing operation.

A dog named “Tang Can”

   When i just graduated from college,I temporarily lived with my friend,I remembered that day he  

helped me pick my luggages into the  room ,A big strong yellow dog standing by the door,he seems 

friend and exciting ,but he didn’t know me .my friend told me his name is “tang can”.the host is  

his roommate &colleague.

    Tang can is really a good dog,when we got off work ,he always wait for us by the door.when  

we were watching TV he will sleep near us quietly.his host always brought him food when she came  

home everyday.And every afternoon he would be took out for a walking ,this is the most exciting 

time in a day to him.I still remembered one day is Saturday ,my friend's roommate gone home ,just 

me in the home .So I was glad to take him out,some people saw me with a so big dog,seems incredible,

On the other hand,this was my first time to take a so big and vigorous dog out.I my deep heart,I was

 afraid of him.,n case of I drag him with strong energy,he would attack me.but he always friend to me.

with the time goes by I like him more and more .

How time flies,the summer gone by and the Autumn came,and the temperature goes colder and colder.  

One day ,when I was watching TV ,his host was listening to music in her room,Tang Can Creeped beside  me.Suddenly,I smelled a very strange smell.when I look down I found there are some dirty liquid matter,  obversely,there are out of his stomach.I knocked the door told the situation to her.she told me irritatedly.:"just several days before ,the same situation happened."then with me cleaned the floor.

 I removed out here in three days,my friend saw me off ,Tang Can stood by the door swaying his tail again and again.     

seems to say goodbye to me.

    One day I called on a friend ,I found his dog was sleeping in a delicate dog mat,I asked my friend the 

situation about the bag,so when I came home hurried bought a same dog mat for Tang Can.One

 month latter My friend’s roommate sent a E-mail to me which contained a picture:Tang Can was sleeping in the bag in satisfied way.she told me they have

 leaved there ,the bag is vey useful ,and that bad damn matter no longer happened any more......

    I was very touched,the relationship between human being become lighter and lighter.Maybe the pet is 

another creature to reserve our friend heart,probably care for your dog more,the sun over our head will brighter.
